Under Schmid’s leadership, Propark has transitioned from a small Hartford-based parking company to a national leader in parking management services and parking real estate acquisition. Propark America has grown significantly during Schmid’s thirty years of leadership with current assets under management exceeding 1.2 billion dollars and 500 U.S. locations. Schmid is also responsible for launching Propark’s real estate division and the Green Park Development Company, which collectively own an interest in growing portfolios of parking properties with asset valuations exceeding 40 million dollars.
Schmid has been uniquely involved in the evolution of the green parking movement and has taken an active role in the sustainability of the communities he serves. Schmid spearheaded the creation of green parking industry standards through his work forming the nonprofit United States Green Parking Council, now known as Parksmart, he now oversees as chairman of the board. Schmid has also brought several other sustainable concepts from creation to realization including the LEED certified gold Canopy DIA project (described as one of the greenest parking facilities in the country) and his work promoting small car footprint and detection technology. Schmid also created and operates Garage Juice Bar, a company that produces attractive and efficient charging stations for electric vehicles. In addition, Schmid is also intimately involved with the National Parking Association and the International Parking Institute.
Richard DiPietro’s career in the parking industry began over twenty-eight years ago. Prior to joining Propark in 2012, he served as a senior vice president for PortfolioFirst Parking Solutions with asset management responsibilities for a select assortment of commercial and hospitality properties. DiPietro also served as a senior vice president for Standard Parking Corporation for over seventeen years, with overall responsibility for the company’s northeast and Mid-Atlantic US operations. He has established himself by developing unique marketing strategies, implementing and monitoring strong revenue controls, and managing operating expenses to meet or exceed budget expectations. DiPietro’s expertise includes the development of parking facility operational plans and budgets, analyzing operational, sales and financial results, and maximizing the efficiency and profitability of parking operations.
DiPietro enjoys playing golf in his spare time and is a hockey enthusiast. He is married with two children and resides in Hartford, Connecticut.
Joe Coppola is the co-founder and managing partner of Propark America. Coppola actively leads Propark’s creative design, art direction and branding initiatives, as well as oversees the facility engineering and maintenance divisions. Coppola is also responsible for spearheading the company’s annual “Carma” initiatives, which provide support to worthwhile charitable organizations in Propark’s many host communities.
Chief Administrative Officer
Boeshans responsibilities include oversight of human resources, benefits administration, marketing, corporate legal and contracts. Boeshans is a product of the hospitality industry previously holding key executive positions with the Kimpton Hotel Group and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in the United States, Asia and the Caribbean.
Chief Financial Officer
In this role, Willey is responsible for leading the financial organization and overseeing accounting and reporting, strategic planning and analysis, treasury, tax, audit and investor information services. Willey previously served as Propark’s vice president of finance and corporate director of finance. Prior to Propark, Willey held the position of controller and corporate taxation manager with Raytel Medical Corporation.
Chief Investment Officer
In his role, Schmid is integral in business and portfolio development of Propark’s real estate and investment division. Schmid creates a seamless link between Propark, its real estate interests and M&A activities. Schmid also leads the insurance, banking, leasing and transportation sectors of the company
Prior to his current position, Schmid served as Propark’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
