Anthony St. Jules received a letter sent to our CEO David Schmid from a customer visiting our ER Unit on November 8, 2025 it reads :
Dear Mr. Schmid : I am writing to let you know of what a positive experience I had with one of your excellent employees at the NYU Emergency Room on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, NY yesterday. His name is Anthony St. Jules and he is an absolute testament to your company. I approached the Emergency Room in the late afternoon after having to pick up my 16 year old son at school in Queens and bringing him to the ER to get his ankle x-rayed after a gym injury. After 2 hours of driving and having to deal with my son’s injury I was exasperated and nervous. The traffic on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn is insane and I decided to valet park my car to get my son into the ER as quickly as possible. Anthony approached my car with such a friendly and calm demeanor. He was polite and helpful in getting my ticket quickly to me so I could get my son out of the car and did it with a smile. As you can imagine, taking your child to the ER is a stress inducing situation, but Anthony put me at ease, and I was happy to not have to search for parking spot. He even let me know what time they closed so that I would not miss the deadline which I wasn’t even considering in my rush. When I came out, I was again greeted by Anthony when I gave him my ticket to retrieve my car. I live in Brooklyn and drive to medical appointments in Manhattan and Brooklyn and park my car in many, many different parking garages. Very infrequently am I greeted by the parking attendant warmly. Anthony greeted me and stated he hoped everything went well with my son. I was totally taken aback as I didn’t expect for him to remember my son an appreciated the friendly inquiry. I wanted to let you know you have a special employee with Anthony St. Jules and hope you appreciate how perfect he is for that position at the Emergency Room where most people are frantic and on edge. I told my son I was going to write to the CEO to let him know what a great employee Anthony was because most people only contact a company to complain, but I believe people should take the time to let CEO’s know when they have an exemplary employee as well! I hope that you place this letter in Anthony’s file and consider it upon his yearly review/ consideration for raises and promotions.
