On March 20th, a customer reported a child alone in the staircase of the Avenida South Garage. Ambassador Benjamin Tran, along with Account Manager Kamal Khudhur went to the staircase and the child and brought him to the office. They then contacted Hilton Security, Houston First contracted Security, and HPD was called. This was a special needs child and all he could relay was that his name was Cole. Kamal and Ben let HPD and both security teams conduct their investigation, while working to keep Cole calm. Statements were given to HPD, and over an hour later, the parents, and subsequently the older sister arrived. HPD continued to interview the family, and subsequently released Cole to the custody of the parents. This could have been a much worse scenario if the child had wandered out of the garage.
