Bryan Zelaya

Valet — West Hollywood, CA

West Coast Rock Star of the Month — June 2026

I am honored to nominate Bryan Zelaya for West Coast Rockstar of the Month. For me as a relatively new Account Manager at this location, having worked alongside Bryan for only the past six months, he immediately stood out among our team of twelve employees as a future leader. From day one, Bryan approached his role differently. While many employees focus on simply getting through their shift, Bryan consistently approaches each day with the mindset of, “How can I add value today?” Our location is a luxury residential high-rise near Beverly Hills, serving an affluent clientele with most of our vehicles exceed six-figure and even seven-figure values. The operation is entirely manual, with no technology used to track vehicles throughout the garage. Because of this, success depends heavily on disciplined procedures, accurate documentation, and unwavering attention to detail. As of today, our location remains 1,395 days claim-free—just two months shy of four consecutive years without a damage claim. Maintaining that record requires every team member to understand the importance of key audits, garage audits, and operational accountability. Bryan not only understands these processes, but he continuously looks for ways to improve them. One example of his initiative is the garage organization system he helped develop. Bryan took our garage map and strategically assigned parking spaces for approximately 55 resident vehicles based on factors such as departure schedules, return patterns, days residents are typically in or out of town, vehicle size, and vehicle type. This thoughtful planning has significantly improved operational efficiency and vehicle retrieval times while enhancing the overall organization of the garage. Over the past six months, as our operation has evolved, Bryan has been an instrumental leader in implementing and refining these improvements. However, what truly sets Bryan apart is his ownership mentality. Recently, while covering an uncommon Saturday morning shift for another team member, Bryan was conducting a routine key audit when he discovered a residents vehicle key was missing from the keyboard while the vehicle remained on-site. Rather than assuming someone else would resolve the issue, Bryan immediately went into investigative mode. He reviewed previous key audits and carefully narrowed down the timeframe during which the key had gone missing. During his investigation, he realized that janitorial staff had removed the trash from the valet podium and concluded that the key may have accidentally been knocked from its hook and fallen into the trash container. Bryan immediately contacted management with an update and continued his investigation. Time was critical because Saturday morning is also trash collection day at the property, and the city sanitation truck was expected to arrive at any moment. After determining that the trash was the most likely location of the missing key, Bryan took action. Knowing exactly which trash bags had originated from the valet podium, he began opening and searching them one by one. After searching fifteen bags without success, he continued. On the sixteenth and final bag, Bryan found the missing key. Because of his persistence, critical thinking, and willingness to do whatever was necessary to protect the resident and the operation, a potentially serious incident was completely avoided. Bryan saved the day, protected a resident’s property, preserved our nearly four-year claim-free record, and demonstrated the value of following established systems and procedures. Most importantly, Bryan understands the bigger picture. He understands not only what we do in parking operations, but why we do it. He recognizes that every process, every audit, and every detail exists to protect our clients, our residents, our employees, and our company. Bryan represents the very best of Propark. His leadership, accountability, initiative, and commitment to excellence make him the Rockstar of the Month.
