The Challenge

In the heart of downtown Long Beach, CA, The Promenade serves as a pedestrian zone that connects a regional retail center with the harbor and convention center. With short notice, Ownership found the need for immediate parking management services. For this high-traffic location, they required the integration of several technology platforms, new staffing, and overall expertise in residential and commercial parking.

The Solution

Propark created and implemented a full transition plan within one week. This was a true team effort, from the Operations team in the field to our Contract department, who developed this contract in less than 24 hours. Propark hired a full team and revamped staffing, implementing a change from Cashiers to Ambassadors, to personalize the parking experience. Our in-house software engineers ensured that our remote management offering, Cloudpark Command, fully integrated with the WPS parking equipment, as well as the site’s License Plate Recognition program, to provide residents with a quick entry and exit. In addition, our CleanCo division ensured enhanced cleaning standards throughout the facility.

The Result

Without disruption of service to residents or patrons, Propark successfully transitioned parking management services in one week. Our new Ambassador position added a high-end touch and provided increased attention to detail, while our heightened cleaning protocols offered an extra sense of security to all parkers.
